There is a room off to the side with a spiral staircase leading to the second floor. Sometime later, SpongeBob, Squidward, and the other Bikini Bottomites are seen digging out Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob says "Another beautiful day under Bikini Bottom," and Squidward puts on a mining helmet and saying, "I hate neighbors," thus closing the episode. As they are doing this, SpongeBob and Patrick sink all the buildings in Bikini Bottom, including their own houses, downtown, and even the Krusty Krab. Plankton then realizes that the Chum Bucket is the only restaurant in town, but it sinks too. In several of the early tie-in video games such as Operation Krabby Patty, SpongeBob's bedroom is on the first floor as SpongeBob's house appears to only have one floor in those video games.

However, he ends up painting the entire room as he thought it all looked faded. The two then try to move the sofa, but SpongeBob accidentally hits Squidward's toe several times due to miscommunication and the sofa ends up getting destroyed. Caleb Benz ’26 as Larry the Lobster wore a delightful combination of gym clothes, a bright red cropped puffer, a feathery headpiece and dramatic red eyeshadow. Brooke Ballhaus ’26 as Mrs. Puff wore a voluminous royal blue hoop skirt adorned with polka dots and a pearl necklace. Complementing the well-trained voices was an impeccably-tight, expressive live orchestra led by Brian Pham ’24 M.S. The pit seemed to house just about every instrument in the sea as they matched the genre of each song. The attic is located on near the top of the pineapple as it has no wallpaper as seen in "Squidiot Box" where he was cleaning his attic until he finds the imagination box.
Grossman’s constant pompous expression, peculiar stance and four-legged strut was pure silliness, as were Rashes’ attempts to maneuver with comically oversized boxing gloves. The dynamic between the theatrical, egocentric Plankton (Oriana Riley ’25, a Managing Editor at the Daily) and his monotone computer wife, Karen (Maya Deshmukh ’27), was also a fan favorite. The lead actors wore predictable but well-done interpretations of the original cartoon’s character designs, but costuming really shone with the ensemble cast.
There is also an entrance chute coming from SpongeBob's room, first seen in "Boating School." SpongeBob's bathroom is found on the second floor along with the bedroom. The hallway contains doors leading to his library, bathroom, and gallery, as well as an additional staircase that leads to his bedroom.

While Squidward is cooking, SpongeBob steals his vacuum cleaner in order for him come to the pineapple to get it back. Squidward puts his dinner in the oven and then comes to SpongeBob's house and sees, to his shock, that SpongeBob made an exact replica of his house. Squidward is now getting very annoyed and demands his vacuum, but SpongeBob ignores him, trying to do everything he can to ensure Squidward stays. Squidward sits on the exact replica of his chair and sees his coffee table, his food, his Art of the Clarinet book, and his pillow SpongeBob was fluffing. Then Squidward sees his hallway, and he sees the chip in the painting from when he moved into his own house. Then he walks into his bathroom and he sees his medicine cabinet and his rash cream.

The floor plan has not been set, like most of the buildings in Bikini Bottom. Paintings are found with various decorations supporting an underwater theme. And if you have the money, I’d suggest booking a night at the real-life pineapple house in the Dominican Republic. Whether you’re new to the show or a longtime fan, consider the different houses. I love SpongeBob’s pineapple house because I love pineapples, and the house is bigger than it looks. In the episode Squidville, all of the houses in Tentacle Acres were Easter Island Heads.

He lies to SpongeBob that he has to go to the bathroom again, but instead, he runs upstairs, looking for his vacuum cleaner. When Squidward opens the door and turns on the light, he finds out he is in the gallery room and spots all 492 of his self-portraits hanging on the wall. He looks for the vacuum cleaner in the closet and finds it, but it is stuck in the closet. The vacuum hits Squidward and he crashes into the wall, tilting his self-portraits. He then walks out of SpongeBob's house, but when he goes outside, he realizes that his house had vaporized due to a fire.
The pineapple gets destroyed on multiple occasions, but it usually gets back to normal. It even becomes sentient such as when SpongeBob has a dream or when the Flying Dutchman possesses the house. In the TV movie “Truth or Square,” the pineapple falls from a ship, then SpongeBob converts the fruit into a house.
